OTOHP-CH 3RU Chassis Front View

The Olson Technology, Inc. Model OTOHP-CH is a standard 19-inch width, 3RU high  chassis that is the heart of Olson Technology’s OHP (Optical Headend Platform) system. The chassis is 3RU high and has seventeen(17) slots to accommodate all module types. The chassis will hold up to fifteen (15) modules and one (1) OTOHP-PS power supply or thirteen (13) modules and two redundant power supplies. A backplane interface provides inter-module communication and power distribution. OTOHP-BP blank panels can be ordered to cover the slots not being used by a module.

OTOHP-PS +24 Volt DC Power Supply Module Front Panel

The OTOHP-PS power supply module provides stable powering for all modules in the chassis. The auto-recovery short circuit protection function of the power supply improves the reliability of the platform. On the front panel, LED’s indicate the module status and health and DC voltage output status. also provides a +24 Volt DC test point voltage testing for output.

OTOHP-FRX Forward Rx Module with Redundant Inputs Front and Rear Panels

The Olson Technology, Inc. Model OTOHP-FRX is a High-performance forward receiver with dual redundant optical inputs for maximum reliability. The OTOHP-FRX receiver is designed to operate with Olson Technology’s OHP (Optical Headend Platform) series of products. Internal RF attenuators can be used in manual or AGC mode to adjust the RF output over a 20dB range. The OTOHP-FRX provides +35dBmV per channel output level. The front panel controls allow local management and monitoring of the module while the RS-485 interface and the OTOHP-NMS network management module allow remote management and monitoring of the module.

OTOHP-RFG Quad RFoG Receiver Module Front and Rear Panels

The Olson Technology, Inc. Model OTOHP-RFG is a quad return path receiver module optimized for good performance at the low optical levels associated with RFoG systems. This low-noise receiver converts upstream optical signals into RF signals at the headend or remote hubs. The OTOHP-RFG receiver is designed to operate with Olson Technology’s OHP (Optical Headend Platform) series of products. The module features four independent receivers with four RF output ports located on the rear panel of the receiver module. The OTOHP-RFG typically provides a +30dBmV RF output level over the full -13dBm to -27dBm optical input range. The front panel controls allow local management and monitoring of the module while the RS-485 interface and the OTOHP-NMS network management module allow remote management and monitoring of the module.

OTOHP-RRX Reverse Return Path Receiver Module Front and Rear Panels

The Olson Technology, Inc. Model OTOHP-RRX is a quad return path receiver module optimized for good performance over a wide range of optical levels. This low-noise receiver converts upstream optical signals into RF signals at the headend or remote hubs. Internal selectable RF attenuators can be switched in or out to enable each receiver to handle a very wide range of optical input signals. The module features four completely independent receivers with four RF output ports, which are located on the rear panel. The OTOHP-RRX provides +45dBmV output level. The front panel controls allow local management and monitoring of the module while the RS-485 interface and the OTOHP-NMS network management module allow remote management and monitoring of the module.

OTOHP-NMS Network Management Module Front and Rear Panels

The OTOHP-NMS equipment management module is mounted in the first (left) slot of the OTOHP platform to provide local monitoring and configuration, as well as remote management. The OTOHP-NMS module is able to communicate with the rest of the modules via USB port for local access or RJ45 Ethernet port for remote access. The OTOHP-NMS module provides an NMCP (Network Management Console Program) for monitoring and configuration along with a PC compatible graphical user interface (GUI). The OTOHP-NMS ntegrates the SNMP protocol and the SCTE-HMSMIB’s for remote access via a standard SNMP agent.
