This Dip Switch Calculator will calculate the dip switch
settings for most of the Olson Technology, Inc. products manufactured since
1988. Select the model and enter the desired RF Frequency and click on
"Calculate". The required setting for your Dip Switches will be displayed.
You can enter any frequency, but you will get an "Invalid Frequency" message
if the result is not an integer number. Models with 1 MHz step size will
only tune frequencies that end in .25. Models with .25 MHz step size can
tune frequencies that end in .00, .25, .50, and .75.
The Calculator will allow you to calculate settings for frequencies outside
of the models frequency range capability. Most models will tune outside
of the specification somewhat but the amount will vary from unit to unit.
The OLSON TECHNOLOGY Dip Switches are set up with the Least Significant
Bit (LSB) to the left as displayed. This is inverted from normal number
convention. The divide by "N" value is calculated by N= (RF+ IF)/ Minimum
Step Size where "RF" is the desired operating frequency, "IF" is the I.F.
frequency and "Minimum Step Size" is the frequency change of the LSB.
